It's All a Lie (2:26)

Agood poem - you figure it out
The world can be
just a little unkind
I never get ahead
until I fall behind
And now the verse is gone
into my tired eyes
So I took another look
at your comic book
And then I threw it away
it really had me shook
But I came around
in time to realize
It's all A lie
Now there's no more land
but there's plenty of gold
And you could buy back your soul
but it's already sold
Why don't you bring me your book
and I'll read you a verse
or two
About the kingdom of man
sitting under your nose
Like a twisted cross
or a bloody rose
And surely Jesus died
but I suppose
he knew
It's All A Lie
Now the Buddha was sitting
on my front porch swing
So I got out my guitar
and I began to sing
But he looked at me
and I broke a string
or two
And he said "What falls apart,
is what is real
Until you make it one, and
climb up off the wheel"
And he wanted to know
just what was the deal
and who?
